Terms of Use

Effective 3 August 2026

PaceBuddy is distributed through the App Store, and Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies. The notes below explain how the app works in practice.

Purchase

PaceBuddy is free to download and free to use for 14 days. After that, starting new workouts requires a one-time in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Workouts recorded during the trial remain readable whether or not you purchase.

Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed in with it. Refunds are handled by Apple — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Not a medical device

PaceBuddy estimates pace, distance, elevation, and calories from phone and watch sensors. These are estimates, not clinical measurements, and the app does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before beginning or changing an exercise programme.

Use your judgement outdoors

Pay attention to your surroundings, traffic, and terrain while exercising. Do not operate the app in a way that distracts you from doing so safely.

Your data

PaceBuddy has no servers and collects nothing. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
